One of my interests is writing Software. Primarily I write tools for use by the Optus Satellite Team. These tools were all written to Simplify routine tasks and reduce Operational Risk, Here's some examples.
TRUDI
TRUDI (Track Receive Unit Display Interface) was developed to augment and advance the Capabilities of the Vertex 133 ACU. While the ACU has many great capabilities, it's GUI isn't easy to Navigate. During an Acquisiton of a Spacecraft during its Launch and Early Operations Phase, speed of operation is critcal.
Vertex 133 ACU GUI
Utility to Control a Vertex 133 ACU (Antenna Control Unit).The Vertex 133 ACU is normallly operated from the Keyboard driven front panel. The Operator uses the Keyboard to drive the ACU GUI.. This tool connects via IP into the ACU's Control Port.

Utility to allow Data Rate changes of up to 4 Cortex Units simultaneously

Cortex BBU
The Cortex BBU is an Integrated Baseband Unit manufactured by In-Snec. This Unit is used to process Telemetry and format Commands for Communications Satellites.
