Plan

The Plan Software was developed to replace an Ageing VAX VMS Utility that has been used within Satellite Operations since 1987.

Plan serves a number of purposes.

• Generates an Activity Plan to cover all routine Spacecraft Operations for the next 24 Hours. This document passes through a review / sign off cycle every afternoon.
• Generates an Activty file that is tranferred into Beep. Beep reminds Controllers about activities that are due.
• Lists rostered Controllers in that period
• Lists Contact names and numbers for On-Call staff
• Lists current SCRs (Satellite Control Requests), PTWs (Permit To Work) and
• Lists hazardous conditions for Spacecraft and Ground Systems
• Accesses files generated by Orbital Operations to provide Warnings of Sun Blinding on Earth Sensors, Sun Outages on Ground Antennas and all other expected Ephemeris events
