These are the Cars I've owned since I got my Drivers Licence

1968 HK Holden

186 cu engine. 2 speed 'Piowerglide' auto transmission

I had a whole lot of fun with this car.. Bought it in 1981 for $450. Someone had removed the Front 'Bench' seat and put Mazda Capella seats in it.

It was known as the 'Beast' :)

1968 HK Holden Premier

307 cu Chev Engine. 2 Speed 'Poiwerglide' auto transmission

After a period without a Car, my mate Steve put me onto this one.. $450 as I remeber

It was one of the earliest HKs to have a V8. A 207 Chevrolet engine. Later they were made with the new Holden 308 engine.

I snapped a rear axle in it and it sat on my Parents front lawn for months undrivable. These photos show the tranformation.

Replaced the axle. Steve and his Dad (John) came over and resprayed the car and replaced some missing trim.

A few months later I was in an accident. Not my fault. A Commordore turned right from the other direction in front of me. Little damage to me but the Commodores front end was a MESS.My Insurance company wrote my car off. and gave me $450. AND I got to keep the Car. I then sold it privately for $400. The guy that bought it didnt even want to test drive it. He asked me to drive it to his place (a few kms away) and then dropped me home. He had a n impressive Ski Boat out the front. I think he was after the Engine not the car.
